About the
Project
Through a connection I made in the mountain bike club, I had the opportunity to photograph World Refugee Day in 2025 for the Idaho Office for Refugees. That introduction turned into a meaningful project, and I’m excited that my work was published on their website. It was a rewarding experience to build new relationships and use photography to help tell important community stories.

Connection
Photographing World Refugee Day was an incredibly meaningful experience. It was inspiring to witness the community come together in celebration and to connect with people from a wide range of backgrounds who now call Boise home. Capturing these moments of connection, resilience, and shared stories made the day especially impactful—and genuinely joyful.
